The Friends of Waialua Library presents
a variety of events for children and adults
all year long.

The Friends contribute funds to support the Saturday Storytime and monthly library Book Club.

Children’s Summer Reading Program is held every summer, with over $500 in awards.

The
Waialua Intermediate and High School Art Show is held in May. Students are honored at a reception with pizza and prizes donated by local businesses.

Authors’ Night, held in the spring, is a reception honoring several local authors, who talk about their books and the writing process. The authors are also available for book-signing.

A Community Art Show features local artists in August.

The
Elementary School Children’s Art Show is held in the fall. The 60 finalists from the five North Shore public and private elementary schools receive medals, and $390 in book gift-cards are awarded to grade level winners.

To earn funds for these many programs, the
Friends of Waialua Library holds a monthly Used Book Sale.

In June the Used Book Sale also features a
Bake Sale.
